Malpensa Airport, Milan, is the only airport in Italy with an special WC for drug inspections. Step one: The X-ray showing 140 packets of cocaine in a man’s abdomen. Step two: Suspected swallowers must defecate in this special toilet. It washes, disinfects and spin-dries suspicious excreta, saving customs officers the task of sifting through shit. During almost two weeks the medical team from the airport unit will collect all the substances in small bags until the x-ray is clean.
